Kavon Brown

Born in NJ, singer/ songwriter Kavon Brown was inspired by his 3 uncles (The Brown Boys), who were a singing gospel trio as long as he can remember. Kavon started singing 2 years out of high school, performing at church ensembles and wedding ceremonies. He later began performing at Night Clubs and hotels throughout NJ with “The Sudden Change Band”.

“K” as he’s known, has performed in numerous gospel bands including “Agape Force Singers” who appeared at Carnegie Hall as finalists in the McDonald Gospel Fest. His recording credits include lead vocals in a duet of Shalimar’s song “Night To Remember” which was released in Japan and jingles for Solavita retirement community in Florida, and 2001 Flushes “Clip-On” TV and spots.

His TV and movie credits include performing on “Showtime at The Apollo “providing background vocals for El De Barge, and two cover tunes for the movie ”One Eyed King”, starring William Baldwin, Chazz Palminterri, and Armad Assanti. The featured songs were, Shout- (Isley Brothers), and “ My Prayer- (The Platters).

Kavon is no stranger to house music, he got into the world of house music with Smack music’s compilation album “This Is Garage Music” providing lead vocals on a track entitled: “Make A Difference”, the album featured such artists as Candy Staton, Adeva and K-Y-ZE. He also can be heard as the male answer voice on house artist Kimiesha’s single “Ups and Downs”.

He later signed to Rick Wake’s label “W &R Music Group” a division of Sony records, to a four-man group that performed vocals for well-known boy bands. He later joined another male R&B group for Hush Entertainment which eventually quickly became a producer / songwriting gig. Back in the studio, Kavon is looking forward to releasing new material. His latest material he says has basically written itself through his life’s experiences of Love, Joy and Happiness.

BO MOORE GREW UP IN NEWARK NJ, USA. AS A CHILD BO WOULD LISTEN TO HIS FATHER’S GOSPEL GROUP PERFORM AND SING EVERY SUNDAY. DURING THIS TIME, BO DEVELOPED THE ART OF PLAYING THE ORGAN. LATER, WHILE ATTENDING BARRINGER HIGH SCHOOL, BO JOINED THE “BLUEBEARS DRUMLINE” IN THE MARCHING BAND, THATS WHEN HE DECIDED THAT MUSIC WAS HIS TRUE LOVE.

NOW POSSESSING THE SKILLS TO PLAY, BO DECIDED TO TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL AND CONSTRUCT A PROJECT STUDIO, A PLACE HE CALLS, “HIS SANCTUARY”. OVER THE YEARS HE LEARNED THE MECHANICS OF RECORDING. HE WAS READY TO GO.

IN 1993 BO MOORE TEAMED UP WITH VOCALIST, VALERIE INGRAM AND RELEASED HIS IMPRESSION OF A PATTY LABELLE RE-MAKE “MUSIC IS MY WAY OF LIFE” WHICH WAS RELEASED ON BLACKBOX RECORDS. THIS WAS BO’S FIRST RECORD RELEASE AND IT DID ITS NUMBERS. THIS PROJECT IMMEDIATELY CREATED A BUZZ IN THE INDUSTRY.

NOW IN DEMAND, BO RELEASED ANOTHER GEM CALLED “SWEETER LOVE” ON AMANI RECORDS IN 1995. THIS PROJECT WAS CO-WRITTEN BY AND FEATURED VALERIE INGRAM ON THE VOCALS. IT WAS ANOTHER STINGER. IN 1998 BO RELEASED ANOTHER PROJECT ENTITLED “LET IT BE UNITY” FEATURING JOEY WASHINGTON AND ANTHONY YOUNG ON “C” RECORDS.

SINCE THEN, AND FOR OVER A DECADE BO HAS MADE MAJOR UPGRADES TO HIS RECORDING STUDIO AND HAS BEEN A STUDIO/ AUDIO ENGINEER SINCE. BETWEEN ENGINEERING PROJECTS FOR VARIOUS PRODUCERS/ ARTISTS, BO HAS CREATED AND ARCHIVED MUSIC OF HIS OWN.

A New Jersey native, Jahzara’s talents were nurtured as a child by her grandmother, a trained vocalist /pianist and other family members who encouraged her to perform. Jahzara’s lyrical chic has grown from her early years of school choirs and bands, to a sophisticated, well trained vocalist and visual artist who earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in 1993 in Visual Arts and a minor in Vocal Training.

Though a local talent, Jahzara’s musical success has taken her across continents on tours with such international recording artist as CeCe Rogers on the Nuphunk Project. She has also graced the stage with such prominent artists as Phoebe Snow, Eric Frampton, The British Rock Symphony, Fred Wesley, Macio Parker, Michael Hill, Bobby Bell and the Bell System and Karen Wheeler. Jahzara’s studio recordings can be found on such works as “Free Your Mind”, BLAZE / Masters at Work remix, “Where Were You” Strictly Rhyth

m Records featuring Barbara Tucker just to name a few.

Jahzara eventually lured herself into the theater, where she performed in various productions with the South Orange Repertory Opera Company. She also landed other community theater projects in Northern and Middlesex New Jersey, including roles in “Colored Girls, Raisin in the Sun” and “Before It Hits Home”.

As a vocal coach and educator in the Essex County School District, Jahzara has shared her creativity and savvy in several collaborative efforts, where she vocally trained and influenced young singers in productions of the “The Wiz”, “West Side Story” and other projects over a span of ten years.

As Jahzara continues to hone her musical talents, she finds herself in high demand, being sought after by many artists to graced their projects.
